A Polish school has begun utilizing the food surplus from Russia’s bans on EU food products, to feed the country’s underprivileged families.
Many Polish households are unable to pay for children’s school lunch subscriptions, leaving an estimated half a million students malnourished.
Farmers in the scheme, who all receive EU subsidies, deliver the surplus of agricultural products to food banks, which is then picked up by schools.
