Ten months after Russia invaded and seized Crimea from Ukraine, financial chaos has taken hold, according to a new in-depth report from Reuters.
According to the report thousands of Crimea residents citizens have little or no access to their money and Ukrainian banks are counting billions of dollars worth of losses.
Following the land-grab Russia forced Ukrainian banks to close, banned the Ukrainian currency and replaced the region's retail banking network almost overnight; resulting in economic turmoil for hundreds of thousands of residents and businesses.
