Ukrainians wounded as insurgents shell residential area: Debaltseve is key Ukrainian transport hub

The eastern Ukrainian city of Debaltseve was hit this morning by heavy shelling. At least 10 people have so far been reported wounded, including a young girl and her mother who are reported in critical condition.

Apartment blocks were left littered with holes and charred debris could be seen in the streets. Officials say insurgents launched artillery toward the Ukrainian-held city, damaging several residential areas.
