Ukraine is marking its Independence Day with an Independence March instead of a military parade

Even though the military personnel are participating in the march, there is no military equipment or weaponry whatsoever, which was customary for celebratory parades in the previous years, as a tradition inherited by Ukraine from its Soviet past.
