Romania President Visits Nightclub After Fire Killed 27: Police and forensics search site for clues

Romania President Klaus Iohannis has visited the nightclub where a fire late on Friday night led to the deaths of 27 people died and injured 184. It was one of the worst disasters in the Romanian capital in decades. Up to 500 people, mostly young adults, stampeded for the only available exit as the club in the basement of a Communist-era sport-shoe factory filled with smoke. The cause of the blaze is believed to be linked to fireworks used inside the club during a concert.
